WORLD CUP FEVER GOOD FOR ONLINE BINGO

Women players take refuge from World Cup at Cyberslotz
It may be a coincidence, but the UK online bingo site Cyberslotz.co.uk
has recorded a 30 percent upswing in business - mainly from female players
- over the past 8 weeks during which mainly male attention has been focused
on the World Cup.
There were more gamers who enjoyed longer playing times and were predominantly
female over the two months, the company reveals in a press release this
week.
The recently launched Cyberslotz bingo - and particularly the chat facility
- saw plenty of activity with players chatting about non-football related
topics while enjoying a few games of Bingo. Surprisingly, the age group
of those playing Bingo and using the chat facility online was 18 - 30
years, demonstrating again that Bingo is losing its 'old lady' reputation
and has developed a more upbeat, modern cred.
On average, players spent an additional thirty minutes over and above
the usual average playing time of 45 minutes enjoying the games selection
and bingo chat. The summer holiday buzz seemed to influence players,
with Cyberslotz's summer themed games, Bondi Bucks and Sunset Dreams,
proving top of the player pops.
'We were expecting a boost in activity over the sporting months from
our female players, but not at the rate we identified," said Cyberslotz
spokesman Brian Morgan . "We're delighted to announce that according
to the latest Hitwise numbers we're now within the top ten most visited
websites in the UK for gambling games."
Since its launch in 2001, Cyberslotz has signed up thousands of UK customers
and has paid out over GBP 140 million in cash prizes. The company is owned
and operated by Talarius plc . Under the QuickSilver brand, Talarius operates
adult gaming centres and is the market leader in this sector in the UK. |
